Holker Hall and Gardens的点评
点评：This was my first visit and I fell in love with this garden.
It was a beautiful day so I left the hall itself for a day when the weather was less kind.
The gardens are a combination of cultivated, civilised rooms and structures, ones you might expect in a stately home, and wild, spiritual, magic places and structures that surprise but also fit in perfectly. Wander beyond the fountain, the elliptical garden and the summer garden and discover the labyrinth, the sundial and the pagan grove. And don’t forget the epic Holker Lime.
And this is a property that seems to focus on “yes”. Yes you can picnic, yes you can bring your dog, yes you can wander in and out. Such a refreshing change.
Also worthy of praise, the café, the gift shop, the wonderful new toilets and the current exhibition. I had a perfect day out. Thank you.
