Lovely little station with loads of charm

点评：Really enjoyed our visit to Haverthwaite Station. It’s small but full of character, and you can tell it’s well looked after. Watching the steam train come in was a highlight — proper nostalgic and great for kids too.
The café was a nice surprise — proper homemade food, great coffee, and the scones were spot on. Prices were amazing value for money, especially considering how nice everything was. You don’t get that often these days!
Staff were friendly and happy to chat, and there’s a small museum area with some old railway bits to explore. The whole place has a relaxed, old-time feel to it. Parking was easy, and it’s a great stop if you’re heading towards Lakeside or just fancy something a bit different.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area — not huge, but packed with charm and very reasonably priced. A lovely way to spend an hour or two.
