It was an amazing atmosphere and i feel so lucky that i got to see one of the world's most popular church.

点评：The Notre Dame Cathedral, meaning “Our Lady of Paris” is one of the most popular stops of Paris and is also one of the most famous gothic cathedrals in the world. It stands on the biggest island of Paris, île de la Cité. The construction of Notre Dame Cathedral nearly took 200 years and was said to be completed around 1345. Its two iconic towers capture the attention of the visitors at the moment they see the cathedral. The towers are 69 meters (226 feets) high and the north tower is slightly larger than the south tower. This was done intentionally to signify that only God can create perfect things. North tower also contains Emmanuel, the cathedral’s largest and most famous bell weighing over 13 tons. Emmanuel is known for its deep tone and rings for major national and religious events such as the end of WW2 or death of a pope. The famous gargoyle gallery can be seen by visiting the north tower.
Tickets for visiting the cathedral are said to open at 120 pm 2 days before the visiting time however are usually sold out before than. Tickets cost 0 euros, they are sold just to grant faster access to tourist by giving them a time frame to enter the cathedral. There are 2 different lines for visiting the cathedral one for tourists who managed to acquire a timed ticket and one for the ones who couldn’t. Both lines are pretty fast although we went to the cathedral in high season and on Saturday we waited less than 30 minutes. The security is really strict about the clothing and will not let you in if you are not dressed appropriately. For visitors visiting in summer i would advise to take a jacket with you if you are planning on wearing crops / strapless clothing.
