A Brilliant Family Day Out on the North Norfolk Railway

点评：We had a fantastic day at the North Norfolk Railway, travelling on both the steam and diesel trains. There were plenty of friendly staff and volunteers around, all happy to help and full of knowledge.
It’s very dog friendly, which made the day even better for us.
There’s loads to keep kids entertained – a model railway, play area, museum, and even a signal box (labelled Reedham) where you can have a go at what it would have been like operating the signals and it gives a great hands-on idea of how it would have worked. Perfect for children… and big kids too!
At Holt, the bus stop is right outside the station, and it’s just £2 for an adult single into the town. The bus times work really well with the train schedule, making it easy to explore further.
This would make a brilliant full day out.
Another great option would be to park at Holt station (parking is very reasonably priced) and take the train into Sheringham for the beach and seaside fun in the summer. It’s probably much easier than trying to find parking in Sheringham during peak season.
Highly recommended for a relaxed, enjoyable family day out!
