Good museum, shame about the welcome.

点评：We love a museum. What did we make of this one?
The Good 😃
There is a good range of artefacts and the surroundings of the local park are wonderful. If you're a fan of motorcycles then you'll appreciate the special exhibitions too!
The Not So Bad 🫠
Parking is accessible for those with an impairment but poorly signposted for others. A little more explanation via signs and/or website would support those with young children and first time visitors!
The Ugly 😒
When we arrived the lady running reception was on the phone. We waited some time as wanted to know about the kids trails in the museums and audio guides. The conversation then took on a social aspect with the last 'catching up' with her friend/colleague. We gave up waiting! On returning to the reception 15 mins later the lady didn't even acknowledge us which was a shame.
It is a reminder that a warm welcome (especially on a wet day!) goes a very long way with first time visitors and families
