点评:This is well worth seeing, I think. Its not every day you see an attraction or feature mentioned in Honer's iliad.
We parked up at 5.30pm on a mid-August day. The sun had not yet disappeared behind the hills, but the walk is sufficiently tree covered so that we didn't walk in direct sun. By the time we completed the 1km walk up to the lower chimera, the sun had gone behind the hills. So we were up there whilst it was still day light, but you can see them well enough.
With kids we only went to the first set, but we were happy. There were five or six sets of flames, a view back down to the sea, and some ruins.
Marshmallows and wooden skewers are available at the ticket office but you can bring your own, as the shop by the beach in Cirali sells them.
We had a car but you can cycle from Cirali to the car park (road undulates a little but no big climbs) or walk but it'd be an unscenic walk exposed to the sun of its still up.
