WWT Arundel Wetland Centre的点评
点评：There is something for everyone at the wetland centre. Met my cousin there for a lovely day out - who had fond memories taking her dad in his 90s and her son as a toddler. Paths that are even underfoot and no barriers to block the view mean wheelchair users and young children can see everything that is going on.
Located on the banks of the Arun, it has a wide variety of habitats including wet grassland, reedbeds, willow woodland, and pools. You can also experience things from a birds point of view - gliding over the water in an electric boat. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the hides. The sand martin hide has holes for martins built into the structure. The thatched roofs on others stay cool on hot days. Its also a great reserve to go to with beginner birdwatchers - they will get good views with minimum effort.
The staff, especially our boat driver were friendly, helpful and informative. We eat at the cafe which was OK. It was well stocked with tea and cake, including vegan and gluten free options. Less promising was the food - and on the day we visited the only vegetarian option was the soup. It was fine but we would have preferred something a bit more sustaining.
