Must see place, could spend easily 4 hours or more here
The National Tramway Museum - Crich Tramway Village的点评
点评:As were staying nearby on a family holiday we looked in the local area and noted this place and thought why not give it a go, upon arrival the car park is ample loads of spaces and charging bays as well if needed. After getting in we was met by an ex postman think his name was John, what a loved chap he gave a great initial overview of what’s on site and namely the Red Lion that’s been moved brick by brick to its new location. First place to visit was the Red Lion (see photos) a pint of the local Ale which was pretty good and the price is great, a new cafe is being built so the upstairs in the pub is a temporary cafe. After this was had a trip on am old London tram and visited all the old shops, it has so much nostalgia of old times not just in Derby but throughout the world, the biggest collection of trams I have probably seen in my life. Although other reviews lean towards the place is good if your into trams my son (16 years old) is not into trams at all but once we started our walk around and looked in the workshop / the main hall and berthing sheds he was amazed at the amount of skill / workmanship that goes into these and the history going back the 1800’s. The volunteers that run the whole place are amazing, I spoke with a gent who was switching the trolley, he had an amazing historic knowledge of pretty much every tram in the place. If you are in the area it is a great day out
