点评:We travelled to meet friends here for a catch up and to go round the Museum
The centre is going through a quite extensive refurbishment and I was a little apprehensive when my wife suggested it
That view soon changed Wed we were greeted by really friendly staff and shown where to go and what to do
The centre is completely accessible and has the memorial gardens which are full of roses and memorial plaques. The centre itself, housing the museum and the toilets is understandably sobering, it’s almost surreal it’s that horrific what happened. The displays are very, very good, a mixture of audio visual and displays of artefacts and stories spoken and written.
The cafe is temporarily in the education centre which is a mock railway siding with a view of an incredible mural on an opposite wall. The cafe does great coffee and cakes that were too good to resist. The lady running it was very nice and informative
All in all a very worthwhile visit, this place is somewhere we should probably all go to, a reminder that we should never let this happen again
Thanks to all the lovely staff
