Beautiful place to walk

点评：We visit here regularly as it is such a beautiful place to walk, especially around the lakes which is a circular walk with a 'truck' about half way round serving some food items and drinks. There is also an outside seating area here and toilets.
The main cafe, at the start of this walk, serves a good selection of food and drinks, although some items are much better value then others. For example, we were astonished to read that a PLAIN jacket potato is priced at £6 and a simple tuna mayonnaise sandwich served with a 'plated' garnish (ie a weeny bit of salad) is £8:50 (!!!). Their Cornish pasty is much better value at £5.50 and very tasty as well as filling. However, in our view, the menu generally is pricey for what you get. There are toilets here both in the Cafe and outside as well as inside and outside seating.
There is plenty of wildlife to see here and both open and wooded areas to meander through. Although there are some places to sit, this walk would benefit from more seating scattered around for those who may need to rest more frequently enroute. Pathways are very good and easy to walk.
There is a Church that you can go inside which is worth a look They also have National Trust Gift Shop and a second hand book shop.
