A lovely find snd brilliant if you want to take your dog.

点评：We stopped off here for a picnic lunch and stroll on our way to Thoresby. It was a super place to visit. The drive through the woodland was magnificent. Parking is plentiful and there is lots to see.
We walked round the vast walled garden and down past the magnificent chapel (more like a cathedral!) to the vast lake where huge numbers of birds were on and around the water.
There is no longer a house here as it was demolished in 1938 due to the debt of running it as a country house. The NT have lots of information on this in the stable yard visitor centre. It’s a fascinating story of wealth and power that was quickly diminished once times changed in the 20th century.
There is a nice shop, cafe and ice cream parlour.
It’s very dog friendly and even has its own dog agility field. Sometimes dog owners can find National Trust places limited for their dogs in terms of access but Clumber is 100% open to dogs.
