点评:The website says you can view the entire ground floor for free but there is little information on what this actually encompasses. It is currently £17 to view the exhibitions. That is out of my price range for looking at art that I don't even know if I will like (I guess I have been spoilt by free galleries in London and Edinburgh). I was sort of imagining it like the city museum, where there is a large free part and then smaller paid for visiting exhibitions, but in this case it is the other way around, the main part of the gallery is the paid for section and the free section is the side bit. In reality, there is very little art to be seen on the ground floor. There is a community art studio with pictures on the walls presumably by local people and a print room which at the time of my visit contains photos of multimedia art projects from students. It only took about ten minutes to look at these. So if you have a few minutes to kill, then the free option is okay, but if you want a proper trip out, you'll have to pay to actually enter the galleries.
