点评：Mindil Beach is a fine stretch of soft sand to the west of Darwin City. Easy to get to, there is a large car park and toilet facilities behind.
It’s a lovely place for a stroll but I’m not sure about swimming as I didn’t see any protection from crocs or stingers, so I’m guessing not recommended unless a local advises otherwise
But the main reason people visit here is for the sunsets. This was our reason to come here and it was truly wonderful with absolutely stunning colour changes. Probably one of the best I have ever seen.
The area behind the beach is also used for the Mindil Beach Sunset Market, which is held twice a week during the Dry season. This has its own trip advisor listing as an attraction, so if you want to moan about how crowded it was or how many prawns you got in your taco, do it there and not here.
