Vintage Railway Ride Along the Panama Canal

点评：This was an experience booked through Princess Cruises, since we were on the Island Princess through the Panama Canal.
We left the ship around 0730 hrs to meet the train at the station. Was lucky enough to get seats in the Dome Car, #102. This also gave us access to a Private Bar and outside balcony for pictures during the ride up to Colon station.
A vintage set of well preserved train cars to enjoy the 90 minute ride along the 50 mile Panama Canal route.
We were served a snack box and some fresh coffee on the ride. Great views of the city, countryside, waterways and forest areas. Access to the outside balcony for pictures during the ride was fun and perfect weather to enjoy the fresh forest air while experiencing the various views.
Upon arrival we reboarded our tour bus, went through the Bridge of the Atlantic before going to Agua Fresca, the newest set of Atlantic Locks.
There we saw a 15 minutes movie about the Canal, watched the new locks work and walked through a forest pathway, watched a sloth eating above us.
Finally got back on the coach for the ride back to the ship.
All in all a fun experience and a must for train buffs and children alike.
