点评:Henley Street is often listed as the prettiest street in Stratford-upon-Avon. What makes it so attractive is the number of Tudor houses with their characteristic dark wooden, criss-crossing beams and white-washed walls.
It’s also where you will find Shakespeare’s Birthplace. Even if you’re not buying a ticket to go in (£20), you can see the facade clearly from the street and you can still go inside the attached gift shop, where you’ll find just about any Shakespeare-related gift you can think of.
Right outside Shakespeare’s house, is a large bronze statue of Will himself - a popular spot for people to pose for photos.
A little further down is another bronze statue of The Jester. It’s a playful, fun sculpture of the clown-like character who was a recurring figure in Shakespeare’s plays.
There are also number of attractive gift shops, an antiques centre, cafes, a gelato shop, Roly’s fudge shop, and the MAD Museum.
