Interesting, but perhaps not worth a special trip

点评：I see people complaining about the price and claiming it’s a tourist trap - it’s US$6.50 for the pool and the trail! What can I say!
Is it worth a trip by tour bus from a beach resort an hour away - probably not, but if you’re in El Valle, it’s a short drive and the waterfalls are one of the major attractions.
The trail by suspended catwalk and the hanging bridges over the wster were fine, but there didn’t appear to be a great deal of wildlife, again for $6.50 obviously this isn’t comparable with the hanging bridges in Arenal, Costa Rica. There was a sloth overhead.
The pool was a bit disappointing. Perhaps unsurprisingly the water was cold, a bit murky and few people went it. The facilities for changing showering etc. were very basic but again this is rural Panama not Typhoon Lagoon Disney World.
If the price is a concern you could probably pay $3.00 for the trail instead of $6.50 for the pool and trail “combo”. There were employees around to offer direction but otherwise you were pretty much free to self guide along the trail to the pool. There were a number of tour buses out front with gtoups going through possibly bused in from all-inclusives on the coast.
The ziplining appeared to be fairly low and the runs limited.
It was interesting and for the price good value if you’re in the area and want a break from strenuous hiking in El Calle, but I don’t think it’s worth a separate excursion to tour it.
