点评:I went up there in an open cable car in mid-August. The weather was inclement, to say it mildly, but I still decided to take a shot. I should've known better, holy moly!
First it started drizzling (I had no raincoat on or whatsoever), then it started blowing. Then it started snowing, and I prayed to God the Almighty to reach the end of my climb as soon as possible. At last, I hopped off at some grey, humble cabin and rushed inside.
There was a genial local woman inside who immediately offered me a huge glass of hot sea buckthorn tea, an old infrared heater, and a nice chat. (She said, in fact, that only duffers like me would undertake such an adventure unequipped and in such weather.)
My descent was unfriendly too, but with the cheap raincoat she gave me, I felt like a royal.
Recommended? On a bright summer day, maybe.
(Cheget means "standing in the shade" in Karachay-Balkar. In the shade of Mt. Elbrus, I guess.)
