点评:I love a botanical garden and this is a good one. They have a lot going on - a grove of dawn redwoods, the last remaining freestanding Victorian fernery in the US, a wetlands, pollinator gardens, a short canopy walk where you can lie in a net and look up at the canopy or down at the forest floor, a willow walk, a rose garden, a swan pond with a pair of sister swans, an outdoor miniature train display with multiple trains as well as sculptures of out of the ordinary pollinators like bats and yucca moths, etc. The plantings are beautiful. A lot of people seemed to bring their toddlers there, which makes sense - room to run, the canopy net, the trains. There was also a wedding there while we were there. The fernery was a standout. I also usually don't care for rose gardens, but they had so much other stuff planted there, it was gorgeous. The estate was originally owned by a Quaker brother and sister - the brother was a plant collector, so there is historical interest as well, including an old spring house.
