点评:This is a stunning archaeological site. We drove up the very steep winding road to the car park which is just by the upper stop of the cable car. Parking was 150 TL but nobody came for the fee. Take water with you - you will need it! The site is steep with lots of walking but fabulous in its size and importance. The 'Temple of Zeus' mentioned in the Book of Revelation was transported to Berlin in the 19th Century, but the footprint of the building remains with two large trees growing through the ruins. The theatre gives you fear of heights! It is the steepest in the world. Most impressive is the reconstructed Temple of Trajan - gorgeous in late afternoon sunshine. Also a distant view of the Roman aqueduct. Wandering around at leisure gives you the impression of how important and extensive the place once was as a major healing and worship centre. Not to be missed.
