点评：This used to be a great local.
Sadly, it’s plummeted, across the board. It needs a reboot, from top, to bottom. Greene King, you are, from the customer perspective, a figures based business Iwith no care for the conditions of your establishment, your staff, and your customers. The Rose is a place steeped in history. Carry on, without serious change, I wouldn’t mind guessing it won’t be long before it ceases trade. As a very regular customer, it’s evident that footfall has fallen greatly over the last 18 months. This used to be, and should be, a destination venue. It no longer is. Training is also down the pecking order with your business. Myself and my partner suffered a very bad case of food poisoning after eating at The Rose on Sunday March 9th 2025. We both had roast turkey and were incredibly unwell. Myself for three days. This is not, however, the catalyst behind this review. This has been on the boil for sometime. As someone that has previously managed within the hospitality industry, including pubs and restaurants, I find it appalling that no attempt has been made via management or anyone of higher standing, to reach out to myself and ask of our wellbeing. Yes, the Rose have been made aware of our sickness. Frankly, it’s poor, single minded and just shows a complete lack of care towards anything other than the bottom line figures. Sadly, for The Rose, your bottom line figures shall not look quite as, how shall I put it, rosey….
