点评:Beautiful, remote location between Nacula Island & Yasawa Island. Our guide Tam said, “if you haven’t been to the caves, you haven’t been to the Yasawas,” and it was a privilege to be there. The water was warm and clear. I didn’t go into the second cave, but my 14yo son came back with photos on the GoPro, showing the water glowing in the tunnel back to the first cave. The caves weren’t crowded - They have reduced the number of people in their tours. As well as the optional 3m underwater dive between the caves, you need to be reasonably fit - some stairs and ladder rungs can be challenging, and you need to climb in and out of boats on a slippery, rocky beach, adding to the unspoilt charm.
We left our things next to the closest souvenir stall and no one had anything taken. We took cash in a dry bag after reading some of the previous reviews and took a GoPro instead of our phones.
We visited other places to buy souvenirs and realised too late that the Caves’ souvenirs were cheaper and better quality and the money goes directly to the local people. So bring plenty of money and if you see something you like, buy it. (eg: shirts and sarongs were $50 at the caves but $55 to $90 at other places.)
