点评：After two failed attempts at making this trip, I found a great guide to help me make it happen. My wife and I just completed a wonderful custom 10 day trip up the Sepik with Johannes Teven and his crew of Denmark and Frederick.
We visited villages, and stayed in guest houses, in the lower, middle, and upper river; experiencing the real Sepik.
Johannes was great to work with from the initial planning of the trip through until completion. He found the the most interesting experiences, best available accommodations, and surprisingly tasty meals everyday. He, and his crew, are all Ambunti locals but the know the entire river like it's their favorite passion and home. No 'canned' tour can match the experience they provide. We literally lived with and experienced the wonderful Sepik people; visited Spirit houses, watched food preparation, and interacted with the families.
In short, if youre considering a visit to the Sepik, give Johannes a call (+675 7363 7760). He'll work with you to create an unforgettable experience!
