点评:Considering the importance of Raiatea to the Polynesian culture across the Pacific Ocean, and especially the importance of this place I must admit I expected more information - I would expect the Tahitian people to cherish this place and "wear it with pride" and have guides on the spot explaining about it, for which I would be more than happy to pay
Maybe it's just me but I had higher expectations about learning about this place, as the boards with very difficult to read small font fading away in the strong daylight sun just was not something you can easily read.
All in all, it's free, we parked the car and roamed around attempting to read whatever we can, I really wanted to learn more about this place and hear about it but I guess internet will do the trick.
A souvenir shop in a place like this with local artisan arts and crafts (no imported stuff!) would be something amazing - what a better where to "spread" Tahitian culture then history and crafts in one place!
There are restrooms/toilets here but do bring sunscreen and some water, you will be walking mostly in an open sun and this is a big place so you don't want to bake too crispy :)
