Nice if not stunning palace
Royal Palace of Aranjuez的点评
点评：The entrance is a bit unappealing but once you get into the main rooms there is quite a lot to see. The porcelain room is especially impressive.
We booked on line with audio guide which was actually 2 euro less than we paid through the website which is a bit of a cheek. The audio guide was informative but there is an explanation in each room in both Spanish and English so you can do without it. Also buying on line gives you a timed ticket but this is unnecessary. There were very visitors when we went this Thursday afternoon.
Had a nice walk around the gardens afterwards which are alongside the river and a small weir. Quite big and mainly small boxed hedges. A few flowers and, statues and fountains close to the palace. Unfortunately the main formal garden was closed for renovation.
There is no cafe there but several on the main road leading to the palace. Also no car park but there were plenty of road side spots in rhe vicinity.
We spent around 90 mins there and overall was a nice visit
