Amazing dancing, amazing buffet, amazing fire and dance finale

点评：We were so lucky to get a place for the buffet and dinner show. We only found out about it when we'd arrived in Moorea and our hotel (Cook's Bay) helped me by phoning and finding there had been two cancellations for that evening so booked for us. I thought we were going to have to drive in our rental car there so was already anticipating the 'who was going to be the designated driver' conversation. I was delighted to then hear that there was a coach which picked up up from the hotel and dropped us back. The ride itself was a treat in being able to see more of the island while someone else did the driving.
The whole experience was incredible. Yes, it's touristy, but in the best possible way and we wouldn't have missed it. On arrival there is a drink and some exhibits to visit including some Paul Gauguin prints in a reproduction of his house. We were then shown how a big underground typical Polynesian oven is constructed and layered with food. This was then revealed to show the food that had been baking for hours.
There was some incredible dancing and a zillion dresses and costumes made in second from a piece of fabric, all accompanied by dancing, a band, a master of ceremonies and a lot of fun.
The buffet was being constructed as we watched the show. It was incredible - I've never seen such a huge buffet or such a colourful one. The food was amazing. I wish I'd had the appetite to try every item!
