Good to have the tour alongside the tasting

点评：Groot is a beautiful estate and the wine tours offered a little more than just the tasting at other estates.
We pre booked tickets for tasting but we're unsure what to do for our teens who wanted to join the tour but couldn't do the tasting.
We found he prebooking was unnecessary and we could pay for the kids when we arrived. It was unclear where we needed to go and had some directions from friendly staff that weren't overly clear.
Guide was friendly and informative but seemed to lack depth of understanding when she was asked questions. Perhaps unfair as it was a lady who seemed to know a lot about the process who was asking the questions!
Wine tasting at the end was a limited but good list, it seemed a shorter list than some other estates we visited. As we had eaten at one of the estates restaurants the previous evening we found we were tasting wines we had already tasted!
We were told about the wine itself but no about any pairing or other background info. We hadn't booked the chocolate pairing and asked about upgrading to this. The lady went to check and came back with a long story about how the chocolate was somewhere else so I could have it but I'd have to go and get it and given the previous confusing directions we decided to go without!
Overall good and would recommend.
