点评：Visiting Stift Nonnberg was such a special experience. Walking through the oldest active convent in the German-speaking world, I felt the history around me in every cloister, chapel, and courtyard. The architecture is classic and serene, with a timeless beauty that’s peaceful but impressive all at once.

Of course, one of the highlights for me was spotting the scene from The Sound of Music right outside the convent walls! I could practically picture Maria skipping down the steps, and it was such a fun, whimsical connection between pop culture and real history. Even if you’re not a fan of the movie, the views over Salzburg from the convent are breathtaking.

• Cloisters & Courtyards: I loved wandering the quiet cloisters — the stonework, arches, and little gardens make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

• City Views: From the convent grounds, I had some of the best elevated views of Salzburg’s rooftops and the surrounding Alps.
