Decent Museum with Mediocre Tour

点评：My wife and I toured the museum with a guide provided by the museum. The museum covers a wide variety of topics pertaining to the history and wildlife of Kenya. The tour guide did a decent job of walking us through the museum and highlighting different aspects of it. I agree with the last reviewer though, that the tour guide’s knowledge seemed limited to what was written on the museum’s signage. I asked 4 or 5 questions and never got a satisfactory explanation. I knew more about some of the topics than she did (e.g. Turkana Boy and Turkana Lake). We would have probably learned as more doing the tour on our own.
The tour took about an hour and a half.
Lastly, the museum has a box for reporting corruption. I found that quite interesting and unusual. It’s not too surprising, though, as the prior director of the museum has been charged with embezzling $4 million via phantom employees.
