点评：My visit to the Nairobi National Museum was organized by Extra Miles Unique Adventures as part of a wider itinerary that also took me through the Maasai Mara and Amboseli. The museum itself is a must-see for anyone traveling to Nairobi.
I was fortunate to be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, who brought the exhibits to life with detailed explanations. She highlighted Kenya’s extraordinary wildlife displays - showcasing majestic mammals, diverse habitats, and the remarkable adaptations that sustain them. She also walked me through the museum’s outstanding collection of cultural artifacts, which reflect the traditions of Kenya’s many ethnic communities. From rituals and crafts to the stages of life and the profound relationship between people and nature, each exhibit offered a meaningful window into the country’s heritage.
Among the highlights for me were the historical galleries, charting Kenya’s journey from pre-colonial societies through the colonial era, the struggle for independence, and the growth of the modern nation. These exhibits provided both educational insight and a deeper appreciation of Kenya’s identity.
I also visited the Snake Park and walked through the Botanical Gardens - both of them are adjacent to the museum - a perfect way to conclude an enriching visit.
