Luxurious Suite, Extensive Gardens
Balsamand Lake的点评
点评：When staying at Balsamand Palace make sure to take the time to wander through the glorious gardens, watch the monkeys monkeying around, observe the shy peacocks and peahens, walk by the serene swimming pools with shaded colonnades, visit the stallions and truly embrace the property and lake view.
We were in the main Palace House in a luxurious four roomed suite - many old photographs on the walls of hunting parties and glorious stallions presumably owned and bred by Balsamands Palace Owners.
Room was spotlessly clean and felt like a comfortable oasis away from busy Jodphur.
For dinner the options were to sit outside at Kebob Corner or to eat inside in the air-conditioned former stables restaurant.
Food was a hovering 8.5 to 9 out of 10, service was very good but just didn’t quite hit the 5 * mark.
The actual Lake Palace is currently under renovation - it was not annoying- as we stayed in the same building.
It’s not the Oberoi and it’s definitely not Ummed Jodhpur Palace, but it has it’s own distinct genteel flavor and is definitely worth a stay.
If we find ourselves in Jodhpur again, we will be back to enjoy Balsamand Palaces timeless air of luxury again.
