Must be seen but don’t take the scams of monkey men

点评：Beautiful place and wonderful watching the monkeys chasing and playing.
We had several people approaching us as ‘Monkey Men’ who offer to assist you on the tour and protect you from monkeys trying to steal items from you or jumping on you. They tell you no fee but pay from your heart.
Having been so very ripped off on all our trips mostly so far we declined and we’re very glad we did. Completely unnecessary as the monkeys don’t really want to get too close anyway . The only slight contact we had was a monkey taking interest in my dress ( obviously had good taste🤪) which ensued in a slight tug of war but the cutie let go fairly sharply and headed off.
Lots of great photo / videography opportunities.
We did once again get ripped off at the top going into a small temple with the priest seeming a safe bet but offering prayers and giving blessings and wrapping string round our wrists for health and luck ……….. ended up costing 500 rupees each 🙈🙈🙈
This then put us off going to the slightly bigger temple at the very top so we missed out on that.
