点评:While the caves are cool, this is a pretty time consuming activity, but super easy as a DIY. We read a few blogs to learn the history and then wandered by ourselves.
We were on the first boat of the day, posted to leave at 9am. It left at 9:15 and arrived at 10:30. The walk up the stairs is easy enough - just take your time. The first cave was pretty cool with giant Lord Shiva's and 20 feet pillars. Caves 2-4 are worth exploring. The fifth cave was roped off. There were monkeys, cows, dogs and donkeys. The monkeys were super cute - so long as you don't have food/beverages. We saw some steal juice boxes from kids. The first return ferry we were told would leave at 12:30 - but it didn't actually leave till just after 1pm, arriving back at 2:25.
The whole operation runs on Indian time - so if you go just know that the timetables are loose and don't have anything planned for afterwards.
