点评：Puno is the most convenient base for visiting Lake Titicaca. However, the city itself doesn't have much to offer. There's a pleasant main square and a few historic ruins nearby, but overall it's not a destination where you'd want to spend much time.
Lake Titicaca, on the other hand, is huge and very impressive. We took a private full-day boat tour, and in hindsight, I think it was much longer than necessary.
Our first stop was the famous floating islands, which were fascinating to see. Although the locals explain that many families still live there, the experience felt quite tourist-oriented.
After that, we spent about 6 hours on the boat to reach the largest island on the lake and get back. The scenery was beautiful, but after a while it all looked very similar. The island itself wasn't particularly memorable. The walk was quite challenging, especially because of the high altitude, and apart from a decent lunch, there wasn't much else to see.
If I were planning the trip again, I would visit the floating islands and then return to Puno instead of spending the whole day on the lake. In my opinion, Peru has many other incredible places that are a better use of your time.
