Mount Pakenham的点评
点评：It's a small hill to the West of Ottawa and before Calabogie sky resort. I've been skiing for a long time and I enjoy most of the resorts around Ottawa including MtCascades, Vorlage, Wakefield and Calabogie, St Marie and Tremblant.
Among all this Pakenham is where myself and my friends had most of my bad experiences. Last time I went there my skis were stolen. When I reported it to the administration I got the "It happens a lot" reply. Well, it's forbidden to take the skis inside and there are no locks outside, besides that the toilets are outside too so there is no way to guard against thieves. Despite being a small hill the place itself is quite dangerous and I heard several horror stories. You will be asked to sign a weaver to weave your rights in case of an accident so the resort will be of the hook even if the staff is at fault.
The stuff is mostly comprised of untrained 15 year olds paid minimum wage or close, and delivering substandard performance. Most of them are indifferent, often rude and incompetent. Often the resort is short staffed and that results in closed runs, long lines and broken safety rules. The main space is very crowded with poor quality food a far cry from all the other ski hills in the region where one can have a greate chateau like experience while enjoying the nature. The toilets are not clean missing toilet paper and pretty disgusting smell.
I'll advise all my friends to head for the other hills for a so much more pleasant and safe experience.
