One of the best zoos we have visited!

点评：We were visiting Italy and always try to visit the local zoos while on holiday. We did not see this advertised anywhere but found it after some research. It is well worth the visit!
The zoo was nearly empty with very few other people but that only made the experience better. The animals were amazing and the zoo is surprisingly big. It’s very rustic and the enclosures are really well made and realistic. They have a large range of different animals and you can get very close to them. This was one of the best zoos we have done!
Due to being out of season, the restaurant and gift shop were closed but the cafe was open. We had a couple of drinks and a hotdog, which was a nice snack.
The only thing I would criticise is the zoo is located in quite an awkward place. We had to get a train, then a bus to a nearby stop and walk about 30 minutes to the zoo along country roads. There is a bus stop directly outside the zoo but the buses did not run regularly. It’s well worth the walk though!
