Gibraltar Upper Rock Nature Reserve的点评
点评：I’ve been here several times but everything, this time, seemed like it had been updated.
We paid for the cable car ride to the top of the rock where we got a snack at the cafe. The cafe was a bit of a let down, with a very limited menu of pre packed sandwiches etc and naff tat in the gift shop.
The views however were stunning.
From there it was off to the sky walk, which didn’t live up to the hype at all. It’s just a glass platform, that’s it, nothing special.
From there it was off to st Michael’s cave which was beautiful and not too crowded and took maybe ten minutes to walk around.
Next was the siege tunnels, which took around 20 minutes to walk around, but be prepared for a long walk on a downward slope then a long walk back up the slope. Overall, well presented, even if some of them mannequins need a good bit of tlc.
Next, the WW2 tunnels, a pretty big space with plenty to see, including a full size supermarine spitfire. One let down was the lack of a gift ship, despite signage stating there was one.
Finally, the moorish castle. This was the only letdown of the trip, the bottom levels were closed so there was just the roof area to explore. It’s a pity as they could do so much with this space but as it is it’s basically just a shell with a flag on top.
Overall, a nice experience. Plenty of apes to see and marvellous views to be had.
