点评：I drove up to see the views with my 13 year old daughter mid-day. The parking lot was almost empty. We looked at the view from the viewpoint, and then I decided to walk along the trail for a bit to see if the view is better. Only a couple of minutes into it, a swarm of mosquitoes surrounded us, and so we turned around. We didn't have bug spray on. My daughter got bites around her ankles. Later in the trip we stayed at a hotel on the water and there were also mosquitoes, but not a big swarm.
Anyway, about 6 days after this, when we were home, she developed mild symptoms of Dengue. We waited 6 days after the symptoms started to get tested and she tested positive for Dengue. The CDC has a travel advisory for Dengue in French Polynesia, so make sure to avoid the trail without repellent and if mosquitos like you.
