点评:Surprisingly interesting! We didn't really know what to expect, but had a recommendation from a friend to visit. We ended up learning loads about the inquisition, how it worked, how the stereotypes are largely wrong and seeing how the palace has been used over the centuries.
The building currently hosts an unusual art exhibit and is fairly wheelchair accessible, though not to every room. I found the interactive displays with videos of people explaining historical events and the lives of some prisoners exceptionally helpful and certainly mixed up the museum feeling.
They have taken a lot of care to preserve different parts of the building too - some floors are covered with glass. Stone walls are exposed in most rooms. Ceilings look in good nick.
The gift shop is small but has nice bits - run by Malta Heritage, it's largely the same as in the Grand Master's Palace (so if like is you wanted something out of stock in one place, you can find it in the other).
