点评：Windwardside is, in fact the capital of Saba. That statement is going to cost me dearly in the face of some Sabans - Apparently, a local told me once, that is long standing beef with the official capital of The Bottom somewhat down this amazing volcanic island. Both villages are barely 500 inhabitants. Why this rivalry? Because whereas The Bottom has historically been closer to the sea (we are still talking Saba here - so that means at 100s of meters of elevation, their way of keeping invasions out in the past!), Windwardside is central to its new tourism future. Trails up the mountains start here, as do you find almost all hotels that matter here, and the petite scene of bars and restaurants on island.
And it is great. First and foremost, the lovely cottage style buildings. Then, the lush rainforest trails commencing there. A great spot - but you will pass by there eventually - as there is only one "Road" there!
