点评:Just North of Seven Mile Beach exists this little piece of Heaven. From the cruise port go to the taxi/shuttle station which is a few min walk from the cruise terminal exit. Shuttles will take you for $5-6/per person. It is only a 10 min shuttle ride.
You will be dropped off at the entrance. Locals will offer you chairs and umbrellas. $10 chair, $10 umbrella for the day. Water, etc. All can be negotiated depending on the number of visitors.
If you want even more seclusion at this beach, skip the main area and walk another 300' or so north and drop some towels. You can still see the other people at the main beach entrance and even the cruise ship but it feels so much more relaxing. We swam, floated, snorkeled mostly by ourselves. Here you will find nice open water with small reefs extending from the shoreline every 150' or so. They are small but we did see some tropical fish. If you want a sightseeing walk, head another 300' or so north around the bend. Here you will tee some amazing rock and reef formations at the shoreline. I would not recommend swimming here or on this side.
One thing to note, there are no lifeguards so you must pay attention to the currents and tide. While on small flotation we found it only took a few minutes before we were 100' from the shoreline because the tide was heading out. Also, even though we did not rent chairs or buy water, it is a nice gesture to give the beach attendants a few dollars and let them know you are heading up the beach.
