Hotel 1829: An amazing property with an even more amazing history!

点评：Just returned from a 4 night stay at Hotel 1829. What an amazing property with an even more amazing history!
Centrally located in Charlotte Amalie, it is truly the gem of Kings Quarter. Photos do not do the hotel justice.
The chicly redesigned guest rooms are beautiful, with natural stone/coral walls and incredible high ceilings, and paired with vintage furnishings to complete the vibe. The bar - which was the first bar to be opened on St. Thomas - is a throwback to Old St. Thomas, as are its cocktail offerings. The stories that must have been told and the memories that must have been made in that bar over the decades! Sitting back and enjoying one of the signature cocktails - like a Blackbeard's Revenge or an 1829 Collins - felt like stepping back through the decades. The ambiance is amazing!
Last but not least, are the fantastic panoramic views of the harbor and the waterfront from the guest rooms, balconies, grounds, and front veranda.
Management is hard at work restoring Hotel 1829 to its status as the premiere historical hotel in St. Thomas, and I cannot wait to return.
