点评:Both libraries are beautiful to peer into from the end of the room (though not access), especially the ceilings in the theological hall. We also paid for access to the permanent exhibit, which I would say was fine but not as interesting to look at.
I acknowledge the multiple negative reviews commenting that you cannot go into the two libraries. However, we asked about that (because my travelmate was able to access the libraries years ago). The books and frescoes are old and cannot withstand the traffic (and breathing) of so many visitors, which is why there are limited guided tours available to access the libraries and must be booked well in advance. This reasoning is perfectly acceptable in my humble opinion.
Finally, despite other comments I see here, I found the staff at the ticketing office to be perfectly friendly and helpful. Same goes for those operating in the venues themselves. English was perhaps slightly more fluent at the ticketing office, but we really did not have any issues when chatting with any of the staff.
For the rest of the grounds, it's a quick walk. There's also a basilica you can walk into freely, which is quite interesting to look at on the inside.
