点评:We came here for the Christmas/Santa experience, as this is the first year our young daughter is able to begin to appreciate Christmas.
We (or rather, I) was unsure how it would go, as last year any attempt to introduce our daughter to Santa resulted in much screaming. I needn't have worried though, for Centre:MK's very well organised set-up and lovely overall feel really had her relaxed and ready.
I realise that I am not here to review the Santa/Christmas experience however, so I shall focus on Centre:MK itself.
It's a very good shopping centre. That's about all you need to know. It has a wide array of shops and restaurants and it feels spacious and airy, which is not something I am used to with shopping centres in this country.
In many ways it feels more like an old school American mall. The sort of place where, before the advent of the Internet and social media, young people would want to spend all day every day hanging out.
The one main downside to it is that it is in Milton Keynes - a loathsome, depressing place that gives Britons an insight into what this country would have looked like had Germany won the Second World War.
There is precious little else to do in Milton Keynes, and so I guess it is unsurprising that so much effort would have gone into making it's principle shopping/leisure outlet is as good as this.
One final note - they have vending machines dotted around the place that don't accept cash. They're card only. When we visited none of them worked. That, my friends, is progress.
