点评:We had an amazing experience stargazing here. The drive up was not difficult, and parking was busy but not full when we arrived about an hour before sunset. Many people stopped here before driving up to the summit or those that stayed hiked up the nearby hill to see the sunset. Once the skies darkened, the place got much busier as the view of the stars grew more stunning. A very knowledgeable and helpful guide was there who gave a talk on the porch outside the visitor’s center and pointed out the various constellations, planets, and the Milky Way with his laser pointer.
The visitor’s center has a small information area and gift shop. Restrooms are available, but pack something to eat as there are no dining facilities here. A flashlight is a must as lighting is kept at a minimum. Also pack warm clothes as you are 9000 feet up; during our March visit it was around 40-50F with a light breeze.
