Duped by Stanley Cup Vendor and I should have known better

点评：We always go to the Pinery Market, and although it’s always the same it’s a fun atmosphere. Found some fun finds over the years. Now first off I should have known better but still the wife really wanted this Stanley Cup which that month I had gotten a text from Stanley about a new limited edition cup. So my wife saw what looked to be the exact same cup and the friendly vendor (scammer) showed me the official box and wrap and I let my suspicions rest as my wife really liked the cup. So I bought the cup and was suspicious of the quality of the Stanley logo printed on the side so I looked up typical Stanley fake tells and this one seemed to pass until I looked up the cup on the official website and immediately noticed that it was indeed a fake. Little subtle details were incorrect but just correct enough to a very casual glance and maybe rose tinted glasses as wanting to please the wife at that moment I overlooked.
Needless to say no one will notice and I wouldn’t feel so taken if the vendor didn’t pretend it was a legit Stanley limited edition Karol G cup. But she really tried to sell it as official and legit.
Again it’s a flea market and I should have known better in a sea of knock off rock shirts and other flea market vendors but sometimes they still get you.
So buyer beware and to the vendor be honest, tell people the truth they are close facsimiles of a real one but not a real limited edition cup. The cup still looks cool and does its job but still kind of low and shows a true lack of morality on your part.
But again I should have known better.
