World of Wings Birds of Prey Centre的点评
点评：My son and I got the “taster bird of prey” experience as a Christmas present.
We found the web page difficult to navigate. The web page has a lot of information on it, but it wasn’t clear what time some of the experience started at. There is also no online booking facility, so it had to be done by telephone - this caught me out as I had aimed for a January date to go, but I was busy at work during the day and kept forgetting to call.
All that being said, the actual experience on the day was fantastic. Truly knowledgeable staff who were genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the birds.
We got to hold four different birds of prey and we also got to fly a bird as well.
We then stayed for the flying display, which was again entertaining and gained good knowledge.
Lunch in the warm cafe was excellent, with very friendly staff. We then had an explore around and then joined a second display. So, all in all, we spent just short of 5 hours there, so excellent value for money.
The venue has a lovely “family run” feel to it and it feels like the aim is to promote conservation and knowledge, rather than an entertainment business, which we really liked.
Overall, this place a great visit and great day out. I would definitely recommend one of the experiences (and warm clothes!).
