Shri Banke Bihari Temple的点评
点评：The Shri Banke Bihari Temple (1864) in Vrindavan, Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), is a major center of Krishna devotion, founded by Swami Haridas. The Tribhanga (three-pointed bent) idol, which emerged from Nidhivan, is a major attraction. The temple is built in the Rajasthani architectural style and has a unique tradition of Jhaanki Darshan (viewing of the tableau) with the purdah system. This temple was built in the 19th century, around 1864.
Earlier this idol was worshipped in Nidhivan, but later it was brought from Nidhivan and installed in the present temple.

A curtain is drawn in front of the idol in the temple every 1-2 minutes. It is believed that Bihari Ji followed a devotee's unwavering devotion, so this arrangement was put in place to prevent him from leaving.
Thakurji is worshipped here like a small child. This is why Mangal Aarti (the first morning aarti) is not performed here, as waking him is considered inappropriate.
The temple is built in the Rajasthani architectural style, with carved arched ceilings. The deity is decorated in a grand structure made of flowers, which is called 'Phool Bangla Seva'.
