Halloween scavenger hunt at the Wetlands

点评：My daughter three of my
grandchildren and l participated in the Halloween scavenger hunt Yesterday, we were given a very friendly reception on arrival, the children were excited, ages 3, 4 & 5.
A staff member, Alan introduced us to the scavenger hunt and explained how it works, we were then left to trail for the clues by ourselves, it was a dry afternoon which made for a pleasent walk, we met a witch in a cabin, which was a suprise and Kathy played the part very well, the children enjoyed the stroll, there were areas l was a bit worried about as the ground was mucky and therefore a bit slippery in parts especially near the swamp area which l felt needs fencing off to protect an accident waiting to happen, that would be a worrying concern for me. Especially little ones running ahead. We finished at the tower in which the boys really enjoyed going up to the top and upon coming out they collected a pumpkin which they enjoyed. They were given a picture of a pumpkin to take home and colour.
Overall it took an hour for us to complete, the restaurant was very busy so we decided to have a small picnic outside on the benches while watching the swan's a real treat to complete our pleasent afternoon.
I would suggest that the hut with frankinstine be lit up more inside as it was very hard to see the clue, also to make more of that hut, by way of decorations,
The walk could be made more interesting by putting pumpkins and bales of hay, maybe a scarecrow, along the way even a bench or two for those who need to rest a while.
Overall it was a fun day out.
