点评：This is a beautiful tiny island, with amazing bird life, lovely quiet sandy swimming beaches, stunning scenery, gentle walks and interesting history.
I stayed overnight in the Superintendent's House which was a great hostel, very clean and in good condition, good facilities (kitchen etc.). It also had a lovely deck with picnic benches so you could eat outside. If you look on the website it's exactly as advertised. They even provided a red torch you could borrow for kiwi spotting! (Sadly I didn't see any this time but they are elusive birds!!)
The staff were helpful and friendly and very willing to share the things they loved about this very special place. I would recommend getting the tour of the island if one is available (minimum numbers apply I think) as it definitely gives you an insight into the history and nature of the island. There is an additional fee for this, I think it's $22 for an adult, but very worth while.
Would recommend for people who like birdwatching and beautiful scenery.
