Great for waterfalls - plus circular hilltop walk above

点评：Beautiful set of small waterfalls and pools, Countless places for a dip, or even one natural rock water slide. If you’re feeling active, there’s a lovely hilltop loop above - walk up through the wood to the upper car park. Turn up the small stone steps by the wall (the Brecon way) up Craig Y Fan Dhu. Follow the ridge to Bwlch y Ddwyallt (5 way path junction). Turn right to the crashed bomber memorial. Climb up to the ridge to the left of the cliff - walk the ridge to the large cairn and down the grassy path on the spur following the obvious path back to the top of the wood you came from. The path is not on the OSmap weirdly but clear on the ground - and “real” as it leads to a waymarked stile to rejoin the top of the river. Follow the left bank down past more waterfalls to rejoin the lower car park. Took us about 3.5 hours at a reasonable but brisk pace, with a lunch break. (Hilltop route - come prepared / check weather etc - you know the drill)
